The French Lactalis group with its affiliation with Lactalis – Halawa Group are considered one of the most valuable producers for dairy products in Egypt. The group, which adopted the more international name of Lactalis in 1999, has continued to expand rapidly since establishment in 1933.
The group now employs 75,000+ people, and owns 236 industrial plants around the world, in 44 different countries. Holding major brand equity in Egypt represented in President and Lactel, Lactalis is considered one of the top in dairy products.
The new factory is designed to produce 8 different cheese products at 4 different production lines which includes production building, power building, energy supply building, maintenance building, water treatment building, pump room, and a mosque.
BECT provided a detailed architectural, civil, electrical & mechanical design for the project with construction supervision. Through BECT's site supervision managers a complete set of tender drawings was prepared along with BOQ & specs for the contractors tendering process.
