The Asir Region is a region of Saudi Arabia located in the southwest of the country. It was long a prosperous agricultural region as it receives 500 mm (20 inches) of rain annually. The Kingdome prospect in developing the agricultural and water utilization sector proposed to develop 10 surface dams at Asir region.
BECT has been awarded the contract by the Kingdome's Ministry Of Water and Electricity to design and supervise the construction of the 10 dams. The work included survey & soil investigation, detailed design, preparation of tender documents in addition to site supervision.
